The working principle of the branch pressure reducing valve: the outlet pressure acts on the bottom surface of the valve disc on the diaphragm ground. When it exceeds the set value of the spring, the spring is compressed to make the valve disc close. As long as there is no water flow downstream, the outlet pressure will be basically maintained at the set value (its change is only 8% of the change in the inlet pressure); When water is used downstream, the outlet pressure drops and the spring pushes out the diaphragm to open the pressure reducing valve. Water flow for a while, the opening of the pressure reducing valve produces a self-damping effect, so that the opening and closing action tends to balance.
Installation method of the pressure reducing valve: In the household water supply system, the pressure reducing valve is usually installed behind the water meter in order to protect all water appliances after it. If there is a risk of freezing, it should be drained due to attention to heating or water discharge. The pressure reducing valve can be installed in any 360° direction, but the arrow cast on the valve body must be consistent with the actual water flow direction.
Possible causes of failure of the branch pressure reducing valve:
1, frost damage, pay attention to moisturizing in cold areas.
2, the direction of water flow is installed wrong, the pressure reducing valve becomes a check valve, and the outlet pressure is 0.
3, the spring is too tight to close, the pressure reducing valve through P2=P1.
4, the bypass pipe leakage, so that P2 deviates from the set value, in view of the superior reliability and durability of the pressure reducing valve, it is recommended not to install the bypass pipe.
